In the finale of the 2011 world cup, he makes 91 runs over 79 balls and become the champion. He also got the award of the man of the match in that finale. In the ICC test rankings, they got the number one position in 2009. And he was the first captain who won 3 ICC trophies. He has made a 10773 score with an average of 50.58 in 350 ODI matches. Kapil Dev is one of the Indian cricketing legends. He is one of the most recognized cricketers. In 1983 Indian cricket team won the world cup under his captaincy. He is an all-rounder and has taken many wickets in his test cricket but in 2000 his record was broken by  Courtney Walsh.  He played a total of 136 test matches In the history of cricket and became the player who has taken 434 wickets and in test matches, he scored more than 5,000 runs. Kapil Dev is the man who put the foundation of cricket glory in India. His career-best score was 273 runs in the World Cup against Zimbabwe in 1983. And in the final, they won the trophy against west indies in the lord’s cricket stadium.
